  • 10.16.09: 2009 International CEFPI Planner of the Year
    PBK would like to announce that Irene Nigaglioni, AIA, and a Partner at PBK, has received the "2009 International CEFPI Planner of the Year" award. This award is the highest and most distinguished individual honor conferred by the Council of Educational Facility Planners International.

  • 08.07.09: PBK wins 32 TASA-TASB Awards

    PBK's work in K-12 educational facilities earned 32 awards at this year's TASA-TASB Joint Annual Architectural Exhibit. Among the winning projects were:

  • 07.16.09: City Council selects PBK for New Municipal Building
    PBK was notified Wednesday morning that members of the City Council for Santa Fe, Texas voted unanimously to hire PBK for the cost analysis, programming and design of a new municipal building and additions to the City's library.

  • 06.24.09: West Texas A&M selects PBK for Sports Program
    PBK was notified early Monday morning that West Texas A&M University has awarded PBK-Sports major additions and renovations to the University's Athletic and Intramural Complex.

  • 06.11.09: UTB-TSC selects PBK for repurposing of Library
    PBK was notified Thursday afternoon that the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College has awarded the firm a major renovation to the College's campus library. The project will involve extensive cosmetic enhancements, as well as a comprehensive interior makeover intended to repurpose the building into an educational support center for students.

  • 06.11.09: PBK to work with University of Texas Health Science Center
    Officials with the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston notified PBK early Wednesday morning that the firm has been selected to serve as a primary consultant for UTHSC's Evergreen Program.

  • 06.03.09: Celina High School wins top Golden Trowel Award
    The Golden Trowel Committee announced this week that PBK's Celina High School has earned first place in the Education Facility (K-12) Category for 2009.

  • 05.28.09: PBK to work with Huntsville ISD
    PBK will be working with the Huntsville Independent School District this summer to conduct a thorough analysis of existing conditions and programming needs for future expansion of the District's fine arts, special education, athletics and CATE programs.

  • 05.21.09: Ysleta ISD selects PBK for New Elementary
    PBK has been selected to lead the design of a new "sustainable" elementary school in the Ysleta ISD. Touted as "El Paso's first fully energy-efficient school," the proposed New Lower Valley Elementary (recently named Del Valle Elementary) will be constructed at Blackie Chesher Park.

  • 05.15.09: PBK Awarded Prized Charter School Project
    IDEA Public Schools has selected PBK to serve as lead architect for the institution's next major campus in the Rio Grande Valley. The new campus will be phased out over the next three-to-four years and will ultimately provide accommodations for the education of 1,300 students. IDEA plans to develop as many as 22 similar new campuses over the next four years.

  • 04.20.09: PBK Named Designer for Plugerville ISD's New Academy
    At a regularly schedule Board Meeting Thursday night, the Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to name PBK lead architect for architectural programming and design services for the District's new High School Academy. The Academy will be programmed to support 1,500 students (2,000 core) in a state-of-the-art environment that fosters career-focused curriculum.

  • 04.17.09: St. Luke's Selects PBK-Healthcare for Expansion
    PBK was recently notified by the St. Luke's Episcopal Health System that the firm has been selected to program, design and perform construction administration services for numerous additions and renovations to the System's Woodlands campus. The scope of work includes expansion of the campus' Surgical Department, including new second floor construction that will add four new operating suites.

  • 04.16.09: PBK to Renovate Ag-Science Complex for Dayton ISD
    The Dayton ISD Board of Trustees has selected PBK to serve as architect for major additions and renovations to the District's Ag-Science complex. PBK has completed numerous relevant Ag-Science projects in recent years. Since 2005, PBK has completed similar projects for Angleton ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Dickinson ISD, Katy ISD and La Porte ISD.

  • 02.20.09: Methodist Hospital Selects PBK-Healthcare for Renovations
    PBK was notified Thursday afternoon that The Methodist Hospital has awarded the firm extensive renovation work to be completed at the Main, Brown and Alkek towers in the Houston Medical Center.

  • 02.10.09: PBK Ranks #59 in Top 100 Firms
    BD World Architecture recently ranked PBK #59 on its list of the 100 largest architecture firms in the world.

  • 02.02.09: Fort Worth ISD Selects PBK for Trimble Tech High
    PBK was notified Monday that the firm has been officially selected by the FWISD to perform programming and design services for renovations to the District's Trimble Tech High School.

  • 01.30.09: Round Rock ISD Names PBK Lead Architect for High School Renovation
    The Round Rock Independent School District Board of Trustees has awarded PBK the additions and renovations to Round Rock High School, one of the projects included in the District's 2008 School Bond Program. The project involves campus-wide additions, renovations, electrical upgrades, technology enhancements and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) labs.

  • 01.28.09: Central Community Schools Selects PBK for Bond Planning
    The Central Community School System (Baton Rouge, LA) has hired PBK as lead consultant for a district-wide facilities assessment, demographics analysis, growth projections and associated cost estimating for a comprehensive bond program that will be packaged a presented to District voters in May.

  • 01.28.09: Montgomery County Hospital Selects PBK
    The Montgomery County Hospital District has named PBK as lead architect for numerous projects to be constructed over the next four years. The scope of work includes a variety of planning, design and construction oversight services for an administration building, numerous Emergency Medical Services (EMS) stations, and a new fleet maintenance and transportation building.

    The Northwest ISD Board of Trustees has named PBK as one of the leading architectural firms for future programming, design and construction administration of school projects in the District's capital improvements program.

    PBK will serve as one of the primary architects for future programming, design and construction administration for ongoing capital improvements projects on Prairie View A&M University's campus in Prairie View, TX.

  • 01.14.09: PBK to Design New Turf System at Darrell Royal Stadium
    The University of Texas' Intercollegiate Athletics Department has awarded PBK's Civil Group planning and design services for the installation of new synthetic turf Darrell K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, TX.
